Welcome to Amersham Road Cycling Club!
Amersham RCC was established in 2006 by a group of local riders to cater for cyclists of all ages and most abilities. Despite our name we are based in Great Missenden, in the heart of the Chilterns, where we do the majority of our riding.

Cycle Training
I am looking at the possibility of cycle training with Chris German. This will cover bike handling skills and how to ride effectively in a group, and should be very useful to newer members. Sat 9th June, 2-4pm, at GM, cost approx £5 each. Please email Julie at Julie@AmershamRCC.com, if you are interested so I can gauge if there are sufficient numbers.
Member Discounts
We have now added a Members Discount tab at the top, it is our intention to continually source businesses who are willing to provide club members with preferential prices.

Club Rides
We run club rides every Sunday. There are four ride levels (Steadies, Mods, Mods Plus, Fasts) to cater for different cycling strengths. You will find more information under the ‘Club Rides’ tab, and more details about each ride from the drop-down menu below the ‘Rides’ tab. (If these tabs don’t work for you for some reason, you get get the same information via the site navigation bar on the right.) Prospective new members are welcome to come along and ride with us to see whether the club is for them but we do ask that riders join the club (annual fee £12) after they have participated in 3 club rides.
Rides leave at 9:00 am from the Link Road Car Park (where parking is FREE on Sundays) in Great Missenden. You can find out more information about club rides by clicking on the Rides tab. View a MAP of where we meet on Sunday mornings.
Rides may be cancelled if it is raining or heavy rain is forecast (or in the event of icy weather in winter). Please check this page for any weather warnings and announcements of cancelled rides.
Before you ride with us, please read this.
- ARCC rides are not coached sessions and there is no organiser or leader with legal responsibility for other riders. A club ride is simply a group of riders on a joint excursion on the open road which may include sections on busy roads.
- ARCC actively encourages all riders to carry emergency contact details at all times and also have some form of 3rd Party liability insurance in place (typically British Cycling or CTC insurance).

… and finally, Club Riding Etiquette/Guidelines
Although we are mainly a social club that doesn’t try to boss its members about too much, riding in a group requires taking responsibility for both your and, by your actions, other riders’ safety. As a club we have developed a set of guidelines that should be read prior to riding with us and followed thereafter. Please click HERE to view our guide to ‘Friction Free Riding’.
